We’ll never forget the day the idea for Send a Prayer came to us. A close family friend was going through a difficult time, and we wanted to send her something meaningful — a gift that let her know her she was loved and we were praying for her. Flowers felt too temporary, and we wanted something that would bring comfort and joy long after it arrived.
One day, I (Steve) went to the lake with a notebook and spent time with God, determined not to leave until I found direction. As I sat by the water talking to God, the entire vision for Send a Prayer popped into my head — a gift that combines comfort, faith, and encouragement into one meaningful package. By the time I left, I knew God had given me something special to share.
When I got home and shared the idea with my wife Noelia, she immediately loved it. We prayed about it, shared it with friends and family, and got to work bringing the vision to life.
Faith. Hope. Love. Delivered.
Once the idea for Send a Prayer took shape, we poured our hearts into bringing it to life. We wanted every detail to be special, meaningful, and intentional — something that truly reflected the love we wanted to share with others.
The first step was designing the box. We wanted it to feel like part of the gift itself. We didn't want to use a plain cardboard box. We wanted the recipient to feel special from the moment it arrived. Inspired by the fiery, reddish-orange sunset sky, we chose a color that reflected God's magnificence. On each side, we added words that carried the heart of our mission: Faith. Hope. Love. Delivered. And to make it even more personal, we printed a message on the box that reads: "Somebody prayed for you at SendAPrayer.to".
For the gift, we chose soft, cuddly plushies — something everyone loves and can hold onto for years to come. We wanted to include something faith-based, so we added a greeting card, printed with scripture and personalized with the sender’s message. In a world where handwritten notes are rare, we hoped this would bring back that deeply personal connection — a small but powerful way to show someone they’re loved.
From the box design to the website, every decision was made with care, with one goal in mind: to spread joy, hope, and love through every package we send.
Our first orders!
When we finally launched Send a Prayer, we knew we were on the right path. Our first orders came from family and friends who supported our vision. Seeing those first few packages being packed and sent out brought us so much joy — it was a small beginning, but it meant everything to us
We wanted the experience to feel special from the start, so we poured care and attention into every detail. From wrapping the plushies in tissue paper to ensuring every box was perfect, my wife and son were by my side every step of the way. They helped refine our process, gave input on the design, and even joined me for photoshoots and trips to the post office. This is truly a family mission, and their support has been invaluable.
One of the most memorable moments came early on when we sent a package to a family going through a difficult time. Their child called the plushie his "healing sloth," carrying it everywhere and sleeping with it every night. Hearing stories like that touched our hearts and reminded us of why we started this journey in the first place: to bring comfort, hope, and God’s love to people who need it most.
We didn’t stop there. We wanted Send a Prayer to be more than just a product — it’s a ministry, a way to plant seeds of joy and faith in others. From designing the website to crafting our first social media posts, I used my marketing background to create something that would stand out, something that people would want to share with others.
There were long nights, early mornings, and moments when the work felt overwhelming. But every time we read a heartfelt testimonial or saw someone light up after receiving one of our packages, it was all worth it. This isn’t just a business for us; it’s a calling.
We're just getting started ...
This is just the beginning. We dream of growing Send a Prayer into something even bigger, reaching even more people who need a reminder of God’s love.
We’re committed to giving back in ways that truly make a difference. As we grow, we will sendi care packages to children’s hospitals, women’s shelters, group homes, and foster care systems — bringing light to some of the darkest places. We want to be the hands and feet of Christ, sharing His love with those who need it most.
But that’s not all. We’re excited to expand our offerings, creating more ways for you to spread love and encouragement. From prayer journals and Bible studies to jewelry and gifts for every occasion, we hope to equip others to bless those they care about.
Our prayer is that Send a Prayer becomes a light in the world, reminding people they are never alone. It’s not just about what’s in the box — it’s about what the box represents: faith, hope, love, and prayer

That’s the feeling we want to share with as many people as we can, because Jesus calls us to love God and love each other (Matthew 22:37-40). This is our way of sharing that love — one box, one prayer, one smile at a time.
